Motivation: The expansion of genetic association data from genome-wide association studies has increased the importance of methodologies like Polygenic Risk Scores (PRS) and Mendelian Randomization (MR) in genetic epidemiology. However, their application is often impeded by complex, multi-step workflows requiring specialized expertise and the use of disparate tools with varying data formatting requirements. Existing solutions are frequently standalone packages or command-line based-largely due to dependencies on tools like PLINK-limiting accessibility for researchers without computational experience.

Background: An all-inside endoscopic flexor hallucis longus (FHL) tendon transfer is indicated for the treatment of chronic, full-thickness Achilles tendon defects. The aim of this procedure is to restore function of the gastrocnemius-soleus complex while avoiding the wound complications associated with open procedures.

Description: This procedure can be performed through 2 endoscopic portals, a posteromedial portal (the working portal) and a posterolateral portal (the visualization portal).

Purpose: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for 20% of all breast cancer cases and is notably resistant to radiotherapy (RT). Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using porphyrins or their derivatives has shown promise as a potential cancer treatment and immune activator. This study evaluated the effects of combining PDT and RT in sublethal conditions for TNBC using in vitro and in vivo models.

Purpose: Caregivers in pediatric oncology need accurate and understandable information about their child's condition, treatment, and side effects. This study assesses the performance of publicly accessible large language model (LLM)-supported tools in providing valuable and reliable information to caregivers of children with cancer.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we evaluated the performance of the four LLM-supported tools-ChatGPT (GPT-4), Google Bard (Gemini Pro), Microsoft Bing Chat, and Google SGE-against a set of frequently asked questions (FAQs) derived from the Children's Oncology Group Family Handbook and expert input (In total, 26 FAQs and 104 generated responses).

Objective: Family-based treatment (FBT) is promising for treating adolescents with anorexia nervosa, but long-term remission rates are modest. Home treatment (HT) as a supplement to FBT aims to enhance sustainability and effectiveness by supporting recovery within the family. This study compares the cost-effectiveness of FBT alone versus FBT with additional HT for adolescents with anorexia nervosa.
