Background: This study aimed to investigate the risk factors related to the failure of initial combined local methotrexate (MTX) treatment and minimally invasive surgery for late cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).
Methods: This retrospective case-control study was conducted between January 2016 and December 2023, involving patients with late CSP (≥ 8 weeks) who received local MTX injection combined with either hysteroscopic or laparoscopic surgery. Cesarean scar pregnancy was classified as type I, II, or III based on the direction of growth of the gestational sac and the residual myometrial thickness as assessed by ultrasound.

This systematic review explores machine learning (ML) applications in surgical motion analysis using non-optical motion tracking systems (NOMTS), alone or with optical methods. It investigates objectives, experimental designs, model effectiveness, and future research directions. From 3632 records, 84 studies were included, with Artificial Neural Networks (38%) and Support Vector Machines (11%) being the most common ML models.

Laparoscopic exploration of the common bile duct (CBD) has emerged as a predominant method in hepatobiliary surgery owing to its minimally invasive nature and favorable outcomes compared to traditional open surgery. Suturing the CBD during laparoscopic procedures is critical for ensuring proper bile drainage and reducing postoperative complications. This retrospective study enrolled patients who underwent laparoscopic exploration of the CBD for choledocholithiasis at the Wujin Hospital Affiliated with Jiangsu University between January 2016 and December 2023.

Intravenous fluid management is integral to perioperative care, particularly under enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocols. In radical cystectomy (RC), which carries high risks of complications and mortality, optimizing fluid management poses a significant challenge due to the absence of definitive guidelines. the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of intravenous fluid administration on postoperative complications in patients undergoing RC.
