In clinical boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), the distribution of dose to a heterogeneous medium that is predicted by a treatment planning system (TPS) should be experimentally validated. A head phantom specifically developed for this purpose is described and demonstrated herein. The cylindrical phantom exhibits distinct regions made from four materials (polymethyl methacrylate, calcium phosphate, air, and boric acid) to approximate a head structure with explicitly defined skin, skull, and brain tissue with a cavity and tumor within.

Aim: This study intended to compare the radiation dose estimates to target and nontarget liver compartments from 99mTc-MAA SPECT/CT and 90Y-PET/MR scans in liver tumors treated by 90Y-glass microspheres.
Material And Methods: Dose estimation was performed for twenty-three eligible patients (13M, 10F) after 99mTc-MAA simulation using SPECT/CT imaging, and over 90Y-PET/MR images after 90Y-microsphere therapy. Simplicit90Y™ software was used for voxel-based dosimetry over the liver parenchyma.

Background: Radiation segmentectomy (RS) is an alternative potential local curative treatment for selected colorectal liver metastases (CLMs) not amenable to ablation or limited resection.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the dosimetric response of low volume CLMs to RS in heavily pretreated patients who are not candidates for resection or percutaneous ablation.
Patients And Methods: This single-center retrospective study evaluated CLMs patients treated with RS (prescribed tumor dose >190 Gy) from 2015 to 2023.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between voxel-based dosimetric variables derived from Y-90 PET/MRI and hypertrophy observed in the left lobe after radioembolization and to investigate if there is any difference in hypertrophy induced by glass versus resin microspheres.
Methods: Voxel-based dosimetry-derived variables and their relationship with the change of the standardized future liver remnant (ΔFLR) was investigated with linear regression models. To compare and evaluate the discriminatory power of the dosimetric variables, ROC analyses were utilized.
