This paper presents the results of laboratory tests in which evaluation was performed regarding the effect of selected operating factors on the vibroactivity of upper gearbox housings made of three different fiber reinforced polymer composite materials with diverse layouts (cross and random) and types of reinforcing fibers: glass fiber and carbon fiber. The results of tests for composite housings were compared with those for a steel housing. The tests showed that composite housings had a weight lower by more than 60% compared to the steel housing. A multisensor measuring system consisting of vibration acceleration transducers, a directional microphone and a data acquisition card with software was used for the study. Tests of the vibroactivity of upper gear housings were carried out at different loads and rotational speeds of toothed gears. The study showed that composite housings are less sensitive to changes in the rotational speed that steel housings. The tests showed that at a higher rotational speed of the gear transmission, housings made of composite materials had a comparable or lower level of vibration. Tests and analyses of the vibroactivity of housings performed at different loads of the gear allow the conclusion that composite housings, despite a considerably lower weight than steel housings, are less sensitive to changes in the load of the gearing.

Although social determinants of health (SDoH) investigations have shown limited analyses of socioeconomic and race-ethnic status on certain hematologic malignancies, the impact of factors beyond those across a fuller scope of hematologic cancers remains unknown. The Social Vulnerability Index (SVI), a tool for assessing varied US-census derived sociodemographic factors, allows the specific quantification of SDoH in dynamic, regional contexts for their associations with hematologic-malignancy inequities. To assess the summative influence of varied SDoH-factors on hematologic malignancy outcomes and discern which SDoH-factors contributed the largest associations towards disparities 796,005 adults with hematologic malignancies between 1975-2017 were identified for this retrospective cohort study.

Survival and cause-specific mortality rates are vital for evidence-based population forecasting and conservation, particularly for large carnivores, whose populations are often vulnerable to human-caused mortalities. It is therefore important to know the relationship between anthropogenic and natural mortality causes to evaluate whether they are additive or compensatory. Socioeconomic deprivation - defined as a lack of social, economic and material resources - is associated with poor health outcomes and health disparities between population groups. The Research Program is a longitudinal cohort study of diverse participants from the United States, with demographic and social determinants of health data gleaned from participant surveys and health outcome data derived from electronic health records. We developed a composite index of socioeconomic deprivation (iSDI) using a cohort of 202,919 participants - based on education, employment, health insurance, housing, and income data - and we associated iSDI with health outcomes and disparities.
