We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate a new electro-optic linear approach to generate high-repetition-rate picosecond pulse trains. This simple cavity-free method is based on a temporal sinusoidal phase modulation combined with a triangular spectral phase processing. Experimental results validate the concept at repetition rates ranging from 10 GHz up to 40 GHz with the generation of background-free pulse trains made of nearly Gaussian Fourier-transform-limited pulses.

Background: Endurance athletes tend to accumulate large training volumes, the majority of which are performed at a low intensity and a smaller portion at moderate and high intensity. However, different training intensity distributions (TID) are employed to maximize physiological and performance adaptations.
Objective: The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and network meta-analysis of individual participant data to compare the effect of different TID models on maximal oxygen uptake (VO) and time-trial (TT) performance in endurance-trained athletes.

Flexible wearable electronic devices, capable of real-time physiological monitoring for personalized health management, are increasingly recognized for their convenience, comfort, and customization potential. Despite advancements, challenges persist for soft electrodes due to the skin's complex surface, biocompatibility demands, and modulus mismatch. In response, a mussel-inspired polydopamine-nanoclay-silk fibroin hydrogel (DA-C-SFH) is introduced, synthesized via a two-step process.

In this case report, we describe the performance of procedural sedation and emergent joint reduction via remote telehealth leadership for a patient with an acutely limb-threatening injury. The patient was a 33-year-old man who presented to a small rural hospital with a fracture dislocation of his ankle complicated by severe pain refractory to opiate analgesia and neurovascular compromise, including absent peripheral pulses and sensory changes. Due to aviation and resource limitation factors, immediate retrieval was not possible.
