We present a method for realizing a solid-state volumetric display based on the chromatic dispersion properties of a 150 mm diffractive lens that images a series of planar patterns presented by a digital micro-mirror device projector. The projector is driven by a narrowband polychromatic source, where the position of each image plane is defined by a distinct wavelength of light. The volumetric display system achieves 20 image planes at a volume refresh rate of 20 Hz, creating a volume of 17.4 cm with 13 mm of depth and a field of view of 10° floating 145 mm above the lens in real space.

Aims: Over the recent decades, smoking among women has become an increasingly pressing public health challenge. Mounting evidence suggests that, compared to men, women's smoking is more strongly influenced by habitual responses to sensorimotor cues. To understand the brain mechanisms underlying the cessation challenges commonly reported by women who smoke, the present study used voxel-based morphometry (VBM) to investigate sex-related volumetric differences in the dorsal striatum, a region implicated in habitual substance use behavior, and their associations with self-reported quit interest among daily smoking adults.

Lattice structures are an innovative solution to increase the strength-to-weight ratio of a structure. In this study, two polymeric hybrid lattice structures-"FRB" (a heterogenous structure which is indeed a BCC structure reinforced by FCC unit cells dispersed in a way to form a chessboard pattern in each layer) and the "Multifunctional" (a homogenous structure whose unit cells are a combination of FCC and BCC unit cells where their central nodes are connected)-are proposed, fabricated via liquid crystal display 3D printing technique, and their mechanical characteristics are evaluated under quasi-static loading, experimentally and numerically. The results indicate a 15.

Rechargeable magnesium ion batteries (RMBs) have drawn extensive attention due to their high theoretical volumetric capacity and low safety hazards. However, divalent Mg ions suffer sluggish mobility in cathodes owing to the high charge density and slow insertion/extraction kinetics. Herein, it is shown that an ultrafast nonequilibrium high-temperature shock (HTS) method with a high heating/quenching rate can instantly introduce oxygen vacancies into the olivine-structured MgFeSiO cathode (MgFeSiO-HTS) in seconds.

Objective: To explore the impact of glaucoma on the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) optical density ratio (ODR) by volumetric optical coherence tomography (OCT) under different analytical radii.
Methods: Twenty-five eyes identified as healthy and 57 eyes with a glaucoma diagnosis (23 mild and 34 moderate-advanced cases) underwent volumetric OCT scans centered at the optic nerve head. Cross-sectional images were obtained through 5 distinct analytical circles with varying radii.
