Background: Earlier researchers have explored the individual impacts of locus of control and self-esteem on academic as well as nonacademic success. But limited attention was given to their interplay within a university context. By integrating these variables into a unified framework, a more comprehensive understanding of the learning processes of university students can be achieved, which can further help in developing strategies to improve the overall learning outcome and come out as successful individuals.

Purpose: The Healthy Eating Index-Canada 2015 (HEI-C 2015), Diet Quality Index-International (DQI-I), and Healthy Eating Food Index 2019 (HEFI-2019) are commonly used to summarize the quality of Canadian diets. This paper sought to compare these three diet quality indices with respect to their ability to capture diets of different quality in Canadian children and to discriminate between population subgroups.
Methods: Data were collected in school-based surveys from grade 4-6 students (9-12 years old) in western Canada through 24-h dietary recall in 2016 ( = 336), 2018 ( = 454), and 2020/2021 ( = 909).

By contrasting small-group peer learning modules with teacher-led conventional tutorial sessions, we aim to provide insights into their respective influences on learning outcomes and the overall learning experience among 150 first-year medical students.

As global populations age, ensuring the mobility safety of elderly individuals has become a prominent concern, highlighting the need for innovative designs in assistive products for seniors. This study aims to offer a scientific and practical design methodology for mobility aid designers, validated through the design of a walker for elderly users. To begin, potential user needs for walkers were identified using User Journey Mapping, with these needs categorized through the Kano model to establish a structured hierarchy of design requirements.
