Risk factors for ovarian cancer include a number of genetic variants as well as endometriosis. The - system is one of the apoptotic pathways that play an essential role in the apoptotic process within the endometrium. Here, we evaluate the correlation between - polymorphisms with the risk of endometriosis in Iranian patients and healthy controls. We extracted DNA from whole blood samples using a DNA Purification Kit. Using the PCR-RFLP method, three SNPs, including (-670 A/G) and (-844 C/T and _124G/A) genes, were genotyped in 112 patients with endometriosis as well as 110 healthy controls. The frequency of genotypes and the alleles of these SNPs were analyzed by the chi-squared test for the significant association. Haplotype analysis was done by the PLINK software. The frequency distribution of haplotypes was significant between SNPs so that the ACG haplotype was more frequent in the cases than in the controls ( = .017). These results indicate that haplotype analysis can be useful for SNP analysis. The ACG haplotypes in -670A/G, -844C/T, and _124G/A genes may be correlated with the progression of endometriosis.

Background: Endometrial polyps are common benign lesions characterized by localized overgrowths of endometrial tissue within the uterine cavity. The etiology and pathogenesis of these polyps remain unclear. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, known for its association with various genital tract conditions, has been investigated concerning endometrial polyps, although research in this area is limited.

Background: Intrauterine devices (IUDs) are one of the most popular methods of contraception, and uterine perforation has been presented among the most significant potential complications of IUD use. The aim of this study is to evaluate the risk factors of uterine perforation when using an IUD.
Methods: In this retrospective study, all 164 women who have referred to Al-Zahra hospital in Tabriz- Iran to remove the retained IUD from March 2018 to March 2021, were investigated in two groups.

Background: Endometriosis is a chronic, gynecological disorder, and the disease's pathogenesis is still debatable. Genes related to apoptosis have been revealed to be deregulated in endometriosis.
Objective: This study investigates the relationship between polymorphic variants of and -938C A promoter regions with endometriosis risk in an Iranian population.
