Demirsoy U, Alparslan B, Şen MC, Anık Y, Akansel G, Görür G, Gürel B, Aksu G, Çorapçıoğlu F. More than Ophelia syndrome: Multiple paraneoplastic syndromes in pediatric Hodgkin lymphoma. Turk J Pediatr 2019; 61: 139-141. Paraneoplastic syndromes in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) can be seen with different symptoms and organ findings within a significant time before definite diagnosis of the primary disease. Achalasia, Holmes-Adie pupil, and limbic encephalitis are rarely reported paraneoplastic components in pediatric HL. In this report, we present an 11-year-old girl who had all these three paraneoplastic components synchronously before HL was identified.

Opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome (OMS) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by a combination of main symptoms: opsoclonus, myoclonus, ataxia, psychoemotional and behavioral disturbances. OMS can develop in children as a result of immunopathological processes against the background of infectious or oncological pathology and lead to persistent neurological deficit. A case of ten-year observation of paraneoplastic OMS associated with neuroblastoma in a child is presented.

Background: Adrenocorticotropin (ACTH)-dependent Cushing's syndrome can arise from a pituitary tumour (Cushing's disease) or an ectopic ACTH-secreting tumour, making precise differentiation essential for effective treatment. Bilateral inferior petrosal sinus sampling (BIPSS) is the gold standard for this differentiation, but false-negative results can limit its accuracy. Adding prolactin (PRL) measurement to BIPSS has been proposed to improve diagnostic precision.

: Paraneoplastic neurological syndromes (PNSs) are rare conditions characterized by immune-mediated pathogenesis, frequently associated with the presence of a neoplasm. Although a single antineuronal antibody mediates a specific syndrome, atypical manifestations mediated by the same antibody have been described. : The aim of this study was to report on an atypical case of PNS with dual positivity for anti-GAD65 and anti-CRMP5/CV2 antibodies, simultaneously characterized by cognitive decline associated with progressive ataxia and parkinsonism.

Patients with generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) suffer from significant physical and social burdens. Although immunotherapies have been widely used for the treatment of gMG, some patients do not achieve or maintain remission. Recently, several molecular-targeting therapies of gMG, including the intravenous infusion of efgartigimod alfa (efgartigimod IV), a neonatal Fc receptor inhibitor, have been developed and are clinically used in Japan.

Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is a disorder that is characterized by the destruction of red blood cells through an autoimmune process, such as temperature-dependent antibodies. The two predominant types, cold agglutinin and warm agglutinin disease, typically possess different underlying etiologies. Prompt recognition and workup of autoimmune hemolytic anemia should be prioritized to potentially uncover any underlying primary cause, such as malignancy.
