Thoracostomies, and subsequent placements of chest tubes (CTs), are a standard procedure in several domains of medicine. In emergency medicine, thoracostomies are indicated to release a relevant hemothorax or pneumothorax, particularly a life-threatening tension pneumothorax. In many cases, an initial finger-assisted thoracostomy is followed by placement of a CT to ensure continuous decompression of blood and air.

Background: Non-invasiveness and comfort are crucial in the conservative management of distal radius and scaphoid fractures. While fiberglass casts are standard, three-dimensional (3D)-printed orthoses offer a promising alternative.
Purpose: To compare patient experiences, safety perceptions, and satisfaction between a 3D orthosis and fiberglass cast for distal radius or scaphoid fractures.

Background: Proximal interphalangeal injury may result in malalignment of the phalanx axis of motion. In some instances, these fractures are treated with an external fixation method such as Suzuki-type fixation, during which the surgeon must perform X-rays to preserve the phalanx anatomical axis of motion.
Objectives: To assess the correlation between the palmar skin crease and the joint axis of the proximal interphalangeal joint (PIPJ) of the fingers opposing the thumb to improve the surgeons' perioperative planning procedure.

Introduction: Metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint dislocation and its pathoanatomy was first discussed in detail in an article written by Kaplan et al . ,in 1957. They had identified certain features of complex, that is irreducible MCP joint dislocation through closed method to differentiate from a simple MCP joint dislocation, that is MCP joint dislocation that can be reduced by closed method.
