Constructing a nanofibrous membrane with high flow rate surface pore structure and high-density ligand chemical structure is a promising strategy to balance the trade-off between high flow rates and high adsorption capacity for protein separation and purification. Herein, a nanofiber-based ion-exchange chromatography membrane with a periodic diagonal surface structure and high ionic strength ligands was fabricated using dispersion cross-linking, wet coating, and template printing with a three-wire diagonal woven mesh. For this membrane, EVOH nanofibers were used as skeleton, glutaraldehyde (GA) as cross-linking agent, and quaternized chitosan (QCS) as binder and functional ligand.

1D moisture-enabled electric generators (MEGs) hold great promise for powering electronic textiles, but their current limitations in power output and operational duration restrict their application in wearable technology. This study introduces a high-performance yarn-based moisture-enabled electric generator (YMEG), which comprises a carbon-fiber core, a cotton yarn active layer with a radial gradient of poly(4-styrensulfonic acid) and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PSSA/PVA), and an aluminum wire as the outer electrode. The unique design maintains a persistent moisture gradient between the interior and exterior electrodes, enhancing performance through the continuous proton diffusion from PSSA and Al⁺ ions from the aluminum wire.

Elastomer cure shrinkage during composite fabrication often induces wrinkling in conductive networks, significantly affecting the performance of flexible strain sensors, yet the specific roles of such wrinkles are not fully understood. Herein, a highly sensitive polydimethylsiloxane-filled graphene woven fabric (PDMS-f-GWF) strain sensor by optimizing the PDMS cure shrinkage through careful adjustment of the base-to-curing-agent ratio is developed. This sensor achieves a gauge factor of ∼700 at 25% strain, which is over 6 times higher than sensors using commercially formulated PDMS.

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) offer a convenient means to convert mechanical energy from human movement into electricity, exhibiting the application prospects in human behavior monitoring. Nevertheless, the present methods to improve the device monitoring effect are limited to the design of a triboelectric material level (control of electron gain and loss ability). As compared with reported work, we improve the monitoring effect of TENG-based tactile sensors by optimizing the structure of the electrode/triboelectric material interface by means of a multiple strains mechanism.
