How do we learn what we know about others? Answering this question requires understanding the perceptual mechanisms with which we recognize individuals and their actions, and the processes by which the resulting perceptual representations lead to inferences about people's mental states and traits. This review discusses recent behavioral, neural, and computational studies that have contributed to this broad research program, encompassing both social perception and social cognition.

This study is aimed at investigating the impact of internal and external attention focus on learning a throwing skill in children with autism, as well as the relationship between working memory and learning rate. Twenty-four children aged 6-8 years with autism were assigned to internal and external attention groups. Participants performed a throwing task while their working memory was assessed using Cornoldi's working memory test.

Background And Purpose: Deep-learning-based automatic segmentation is widely used in radiation oncology to delineate organs-at-risk. Dual-energy CT (DECT) allows the reconstruction of enhanced contrast images that could help with manual and auto-delineation. This paper presents a performance evaluation of a commercial auto-segmentation software on image series generated by a DECT.

Background The dental faculty must understand the challenges students face in prosthodontics to enhance education and meet patient care demands. This study explored final-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) students' perceptions, study methods, and clinical application of knowledge, identifying gaps in translating theory to practice, skill acquisition, and curriculum alignment. Insights guide improvements in mentorship, hands-on training, and active learning to enhance clinical preparedness.

serovar Mbandaka, a prevalent foodborne pathogen, poses a threat to public health but remains poorly understood. We have determined the phylogenomic tree, genetic diversity, virulence, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) profiles on a large genomic scale to elucidate the evolutionary dynamics within the Mbandaka pan-genome. The polyphyletic nature of this serovar is characterized by two distinct phylogenetic groups and inter-serovar recombination boundaries, that potentially arising from recombination events at the H2-antigen loci.
