Introduction: Despite being less common in recent years, recurrent pleomorphic adenoma still poses a surgical challenge, especially after improper surgery.
Methods: We retrospectively recruited all patients with recurrent pleomorphic adenoma and Carcinoma ex pleomorphic adenoma from February 2007 to April 2024 who were operated upon in a tertiary cancer center. Epidemiological, radiological, and pathological data, risk factors, details of surgical treatment, and surgical/oncological outcomes were analyzed.
Secretory carcinoma is a malignant salivary gland tumor, which typically presents as an indolent painless mass within the parotid gland. Involvement of the minor gland is reported but less common. Secretory carcinoma was often misclassified as other salivary gland mimics, particularly acinic cell carcinoma, prior to 2010.

Precise recognition of the intraparotid facial nerve (IFN) is crucial during parotid tumor resection. We aimed to explore the application effect of direct visualization of the IFN in parotid tumor resection. Fifteen patients with parotid tumors were enrolled in this study and underwent specific radiological scanning in which the IFNs were displayed as high-intensity images.

We herein report a case of a 75-year-old male referred to our hospital with a long-standing right parotid lesion that was treated in an outside hospital by a superficial parotidectomy. The patient reported a painful, rapidly enlarging mass following the excision.
