In the Caribbean, green turtles graze seagrass meadows dominated by through rotational grazing, resulting in the creation of grazed and recovering (abandoned) patches surrounded by ungrazed seagrasses. We evaluated the seagrass community and its environment along a turtle grazing gradient; with the duration of (simulated) grazing as a proxy for the level of grazing pressure. The grazing levels consisted of Short-term (4 months clipping), Medium-term (8 months clipping), Long-term grazing (8 months of clipping in previously grazed areas), 8-months recovery of previously grazed patches, and ungrazed or unclipped patches as controls. We measured biomass and density of the seagrasses and rhizophytic algae, and changes in sediment parameters. Medium- and Long-term grazing promoted a shift in community species composition. At increasing grazing pressure, the total biomass of declined, whereas that of early-successional increased. Ammonium concentrations were highest in the patches of Medium-term (9.2 + 0.8 μM) and Long-term grazing levels (11.0 + 2.2 μM) and were lowest in the control areas (4.6 + 1.5 μM). is a late-successional species that maintains sediment nutrient concentrations at levels below the requirements of early-successional species when dominant. When the abundance of this species declines due to grazing, these resources become available, likely driving a shift in community composition toward a higher abundance of early-successional species.

Introduction: Bowel perforation due to migrated biliary stent is a rare complication. Here, we report a case of duodenal and ascending colonal perforation due to biliary stent migration.
Case Presentation: A 35-year-old man is complaining of right upper abdominal pain presented to the gastroenterology department.

Duodenal neuroendocrine tumors are relatively rare subepithelial tumors that arise from cells of the neuroendocrine system. Small duodenal neuroendocrine tumors can be treated endoscopically because of their low potential for metastasis. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of conventional and underwater endoscopic mucosal resection for duodenal neuroendocrine tumors.

The management of multiple intracranial aneurysms presents significant clinical challenges, particularly when complicated by underlying conditions such as cerebral atherosclerosis. This case report highlights the successful treatment of a 66-year-old female diagnosed with three intracranial aneurysms located in the right middle cerebral artery (MCA), pericallosal artery, and M2 segment. The patient also had a history of systemic atherosclerosis and right-sided breast cancer, factors that increased the complexity of surgical intervention.

Although many institutions increasingly perform endovascular coiling instead of microsurgical clipping as the primary treatment for ruptured aneurysms, there remains ongoing debate regarding the optimal treatment strategy for ruptured middle cerebral artery (MCA) aneurysms. Therefore, we compared the outcomes of clipping and coiling for treating ruptured MCA aneurysms. A total of 155 ruptured MCA aneurysms that were deemed eligible for both clipping and coiling were retrospectively reviewed.

Aim: The study aimed to subject two groups of visually challenged children to Braille and audio-tactile performance (ATP) techniques of oral health education and compare the effectiveness of each technique through a comparison of OHI-S index scores.
Materials And Methods: 30 visually challenged children of 6-12 years belonging to a Government-aided blind school were divided into two study groups based on the method of oral health education ( = 15). Group I received oral hygiene instructions in Braille while group II received instructions through audio clips, tactile sensations of tooth models, and closely supervised performance of brushing technique.
