Lymphocytic gastritis (LG) is uncommon and presents histologically with a nonspecific inflammatory pattern. It is most often associated with celiac disease and gastritis and is rarely associated with other conditions including lymphoma. LG is of clinical importance since its recognition should prompt further clinical evaluation for other disorders.

Gastric cancer (GC) remains a significant global health challenge. This study aimed to comprehensively analyze GC epidemiology and risk factors to inform prevention and intervention strategies. We analyzed the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 data, conducted 16 different machine learning (ML) models of NHANES data, performed Mendelian randomization (MR) studies on disease phenotypes, dietary preferences, microbiome, blood-based markers, and integrated differential gene expression and expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) data from multiple cohorts to identify factors associated with GC risk.

Gastric lymphofollicular hyperplasia (GLFH) is characterized by large lymphoid nodules in the lamina propria. Its etiology and immunohistochemical characteristics are poorly understood. This study analyzed 41 canine GLFH cases, including clinical, endoscopic, histopathological, and immunohistochemical evaluations.

Unlabelled: infects roughly half the world's population, causing gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric cancer in a subset. These pathologies occur in response to a chronic inflammatory state, but it is not fully understood how controls this process. We characterized the inflammatory response of mutants that cannot produce the quorum sensing molecule autoinducer 2 (AI-2) by deleting the gene for the AI-2 synthase, .

Background: Megaoesophagus (ME), a disorder of the oesophagus characterized by diffuse oesophageal dilation and decreased peristalsis that may be congenital or acquired. Knowledge regarding the aetiology and prognosis for canine acquired ME is currently limited with most cases being idiopathic, which is a considerable problem to implement an appropriate treatment and a potential better prognosis.
Case Presentation: A 7-year-old, neutered, female Spanish Water Dog was evaluated for progressive weight loss, chronic vomiting and regurgitation.

infection is the predominant risk factor for the development of gastric cancer. Risk is enhanced by specific virulence factors, diet, and the inflammatory response. Chronic activation of T helper (Th) 1 and Th17 pathways contributes to prolonged inflammation; yet, higher expression of IL-17 receptor (IL-17RA) is a favorable prognostic marker for survival after gastric cancer diagnosis.
