The use of immunosuppressive treatments and their related gastrointestinal adverse effects have been implicated in the development of food allergic responses following transplantation. There is limited information on the pathogenesis of the food allergic immune response among umbilical cord transplantation recipients. This study was conducted to identify a cohort of food allergic umbilical cord recipients in the literature. The literature was searched to systematically identify this cohort. Criteria for inclusion included umbilical cord transplantation, food allergic response, and reported laboratory data. Analysis of the laboratory data using the Pearson method revealed that there was a moderate negative correlation with a coefficient of =-0.7016 and =-0.49 between peripheral eosinophilia and serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels. Future studies on a larger population are needed, but this study may help to elucidate possible cellular mechanisms involved in this response.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint disease characterized by articular cartilage degradation. Persistent low-grade inflammation defines OA pathogenesis, with crucial involvement of pro-inflammatory M1-like macrophages. While mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) and their small extracellular vesicles (sEV) hold promise for OA treatment, achieving consistent clinical-grade sEV products remains a significant challenge.

A photoredox-promoted cascade glycosylation/cyclization reaction of 2-isocyanobiaryls and glycosyl NHP esters was established for the synthesis of nonclassical heteroaryl C-glycosides. This methodology is characterized by an exceedingly simple reaction system, high diastereoselectivity, and good functional group tolerance. In contrast to traditional strategies, this innovative approach circumvents the need for high temperature, transition metal, and photocatalyst, offering an environmentally friendly and efficient protocol.

Dermatologists have been interested in recent advancements in regenerative therapy. Current research is actively investigating the possibility of placental tissue derivatives to decelerate the skin aging process, enhance skin regeneration, reduce scarring, and prevent hair loss. Amniotic membranes (AM) play a crucial role in regenerative medicine as they serve as a suitable means of transporting stem cells, growth hormones, cytokines, and other essential compounds.
