Objective: Whether athletes possess superior executive functions still needs further examination. Therefore, the aim of this study is to explore the executive function advantages of athletes and the differences in these advantages between open- and closed-skill sports through systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods: Computer searches of CNKI, Web of Science, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and SPORTDiscus databases were conducted.

When the traditional random forest (RF) algorithm is used to select feature elements in biostatistical data, a large amount of noise data and parameters can affect the importance of the selected feature elements, making the control of feature selection difficult. Therefore, it is a challenge for the traditional RF algorithm to preserve the accuracy of algorithm results in the presence of noise data. Generally, directly removing noise data can result in significant bias in the results.

Pre-frailty, a condition preceding frailty, is intervenable, but its determinants and assessment are challenging. This study aims to develop and validate an explainable machine learning model for pre-frailty risk assessment among community-dwelling older adults.

B cell immunity carries the inherent risk of deviating into autoimmunity and malignancy, which are both strongly associated with genetic variants or alterations that increase immune signaling. Here, we investigated the interplay of autoimmunity and lymphoma risk factors centered around the archetypal negative immune regulator TNFAIP3/A20 in mice. Counterintuitively, B cells with moderately elevated sensitivity to stimulation caused fatal autoimmune pathology, while those with high sensitivity did not.

Objectives: Recent multicenter trials suggest that higher protein delivery may result in worse outcomes in critically ill patients, but uncertainty remains. An updated Bayesian meta-analysis of recent evidence was conducted to estimate the probabilities of beneficial and harmful treatment effects.
Data Sources: An updated systematic search was performed in three databases until September 4, 2024.
