Background: Chondrosarcoma is the second most common bone malignancy. Chondrosarcoma is considered a surgical disease, and the role of surgical margin is important since local recurrence is known to decrease survival. This case report evaluates current diagnostic and treatment approaches for intrapelvic acetabular migration, focusing on the rare but serious complication of acute limb ischemia following hip arthroplasty. A 67-year-old female with a history of total hip arthroplasty 10 years ago presented with acute limb ischemia after experiencing a traumatic event 72 hours prior, which had caused displacement of her hip prosthesis. Notably, she had a history of a traumatic event two years earlier for which she had been advised to undergo surgical correction, which she had refused.

Inflammatory cytokines are key indicators affecting the development of ulcers of lower limb. The causal role of inflammatory cytokines in ulcers of lower limb and whether this can be mediated by metabolites remain unknown. We conducted a two-step, two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) study to investigate the causal effect of inflammatory cytokines on ulcers of lower limb and the mediating role of metabolites in the association between inflammatory cytokines and ulcers of lower limb.

Background: Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) leads to decreased quality of life and increased disease burden, resulting in progressive patient deterioration, limb amputation, and mortality.
Objectives: This study aims to present the outcomes of a Latin American experience using the open distal venous arterialization (DVA) technique for no-option limb salvage in a high volume CLTI center.
Methods: A retrospective case series study was performed including patients from 2018 to 2022 using a population from Bogotá, Colombia.

Background: Contemporary guidelines advocate for initial debridement and single-stage definitive fixation with immediate soft tissue reconstruction for open fractures. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of single-stage stabilization and immediate definitive soft tissue coverage in open ankle fractures compared to closed fractures.
Methods: We compared all isolated open ankle fractures (OF) treated between January 2017 and June 2019 to a control group of operatively managed closed ankle fractures (CF).
