Metal-organic framework-derived lithium cobaltate nanoparticles were fabricated by annealing of the ZIF-67 precursor with LiCO under air, followed by homogeneous AlF coating and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) wrapping. The as-prepared AlF-coated LiCoO/CNTs electrode can act as a potential cathode for enhanced lithium storage at both room temperature and an elevated temperature of 50 °C.
