The parameters of an echo signal from the underwater lidar are studied for the case of modulation of a probing pulse by a high frequency signal with a frequency linearly varying with time. The analysis is based on the statistical Monte Carlo simulations of the frequency and phase responses of a signal propagating along the emitter-water-reflector-water-receiver path and an analytical representation of the signal as a pulse described by a Gaussian function with intrapulse modulation. Delays and pulse shape changes caused by temporal dispersion of the photon-density waves are estimated. It is shown that the temporal dispersion effect reduces the efficiency of the matched processing of a complex signal in the receiving system.

A comprehensive scientific analysis of temporal and spatial fluctuations of pollutants during the migration of groundwater is essential for precisely predicting their dispersion patterns and promoting rational regional development planning. In this research paper, a field radial dispersion test was conducted in decentralized drinking water sources downstream of the Fu Tuan River basin in Rizhao City, Shandong Province, China (FRSC). Chloride ion (Cl) solution was utilized as a tracer for the experiment.

Although numerous studies have shown that grazing gives rise to community succession from the communities or even species perspective, there is a lack of discussion about how grazing drives community assembly based on plant functional traits in a long-term experiment. We find different grazing intensities lead to temporal effects on trait-mediated multidimensional community assembly processes, including community-weighted trait mean (CWM), trait filtering, and trait distribution (divergence/convergence). CWM, trait filtering, and trait distribution of different traits transformed over the 16-year grazing experiment.

Background/objectives: Anti-MAG polyneuropathy is a demyelinating peripheral neuropathy associated with IgM monoclonal gammopathies, particularly MGUS (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance) and Waldenström macroglobulinemia. It is characterized by a subacute onset of distal sensory symptoms, with distal motor dysfunction typically appearing only in the later stages of the disease. The condition is caused by the presence of autoantibodies directed against myelin-associated glycoprotein, a structural protein of myelin.

Hardware system customized toward the demands of graph neural network learning would promote efficiency and strong temporal processing for graph-structured data. However, most amorphous/polycrystalline oxides-based memristors commonly have unstable conductance regulation due to random growth of conductive filaments. And graph neural networks based on robust and epitaxial film memristors can especially improve energy efficiency due to their high endurance and ultra-low power consumption.

Purpose: Diffusing alpha-emitters Radiation Therapy ("Alpha DaRT") is a new cancer treatment modality that employs radium-224-loaded metal sources implanted in solid tumors to disperse alpha-emitting atoms within a therapeutic "kill-zone" of a few millimeters around each source. Preclinical studies have demonstrated tumor growth delay in various cancer types, including glioblastoma multiforme, and the method is used in clinical trials for patients with skin and head and neck cancer. This study aims to assess the safety and feasibility of implementing Alpha DaRT for brain tumor treatment in a large animal model.
