An Nd:YAG Micro-MOPA, based on a microchip master oscillator and power amplifier system with gain aperture beam cleaning, could generate sub-ns 200 mJ pulses with extremely high brightness of 18 PW/sr·cm [Opt. Express268609 (2018)]. However, the system repetition rate was limited to 10 Hz, due to thermal problems occurring in the main amplifier rod under high-power operation. In this work, we achieved 100 Hz operation with pulse brightness of 11 PW/sr·cm by optical compensation of thermal lensing, which was evaluated through calculations and an experiment.

Introduction: Guided surgery for immediate anterior implants aims to reduce the time required for aesthetic and functional immediate loading. However, the limited surface area of anterior teeth for guide stabilization may affect the accuracy of implant positioning. This in vitro study evaluated the effect of the number of supporting teeth on the accuracy of immediate implants in the maxillary central incisor region.

Electronic address:

Rationale And Objectives: To evaluate and compare image quality of different energy levels of virtual monochromatic images (VMIs) using standard versus strong deep learning spectral reconstruction (DLSR) on dual-energy CT pulmonary angiogram (DECT-PA).

Materials And Methods: A retrospective study was performed on 70 patients who underwent DECT-PA (15 PE present; 55 PE absent) scans. VMIs were reconstructed at different energy levels ranging from 35 to 200 keV using standard and strong levels with deep learning spectral reconstruction.

Background: Anxiety disorders are widespread across the world. Understanding the global burden of anxiety disorders in the past and future can provide important references for optimizing prevention and control strategies in healthcare systems.

Methods: The estimation of anxiety disorders in the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 using systematic review was conducted to describe incidence, prevalence and disability adjusted life years (DALYs) in 204 countries and regions from 1990 to 2021.

Introduction: Tacrolimus-induced thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) causing acute kidney injury (AKI) without systemic features is a rare entity, particularly after non-renal solid organ transplantation.

Case Report: We describe the case of a patient with AKI after combined heart and lung transplantation. Renal biopsy revealed acute thrombotic microangiopathy which ultimately prompted initiation of eculizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeted against complement C5, with subsequent recovery in renal function.

Electronic address:

Objective: Varicose vein ablation is generally indicated in patients with active/healed venous ulcers. However, patient selection for intervention in individuals without venous ulcers is less clear. Tools that predict lack of clinical improvement (LCI) following vein ablation may help guide clinical decision-making but remain limited.
