Background: Gastric stump neoplasia is defined as a neoplasia that arises in the gastric remnant after at least 5 years of interval from the first gastric resection.

Aims: The aim of this study was to analyze 51 patients who underwent total and subtotal gastrectomy and multi-visceral resections in patients with gastric stump cancer.

Methods: The hospital records of 51 patients surgically treated for gastric stump cancer between 1989 and 2019 were reviewed.

Objective: A significant number of patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) are not eligible for pulmonary endarterectomy and may be treated with balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA). Although BPA programs have recently been developed in Brazil, no results have yet been published. Objective: Calorie restriction and exercise are commonly used first interventions to prevent the progression of prediabetes and alleviate the symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Our study was designed to determine the effect of the energy deficit caused by long-term (12-week) calorie restriction and exercise programs on appetite responses in obese individuals with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes.

Methods: Calorie restriction and exercise programs appropriate for age, gender, and work environment were applied to 22 individuals with prediabetes and 22 with type 2 diabetes participating in the study for a period of 12 weeks.
