Peer victimisation (PV) in childhood and adolescence can come along with psychological stress through the life span. Even though there exist a large number of questionnaires that measure PV, evidence of the use is often missing. Particularly instruments for capturing cyberbullying lack psychometric calculations such as factor analysis for investigating scales and data on validity and reliability. An exception constitutes the Multidimensional Offline and Online Peer Victimization Scale (MOOPV) of Sumter et al., which is only available in Dutch. This questionnaire is not medium-specifically designed, has been psychometrically properly explored, and differentiates between direct and indirect as well as online and offline PV. The present study aims to investigate the psychometric properties of the German version of the Multidimensional Offline and Online Peer Victimization Scale (MOOPV). The factor structure, validity and reliability was examined in a sample of 777 pupils aged 10-20. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the original four-factor model. The scales direct offline, indirect offline, direct online, and indirect online demonstrated high internal reliability and construct validity. The MOOPV can be used as a validated instrument in research and practice to capture PV in childhood and adolescence.

The ethylene-forming enzyme (EFE) is a Fe(II)/2-oxoglutarate (2OG) and l-arginine (l-Arg)-dependent oxygenase that primarily decomposes 2OG into ethylene while also catalyzing l-Arg hydroxylation. While the hydroxylation mechanism in EFE is similar to other Fe(II)/2OG-dependent oxygenases, the formation of ethylene is unique. Various redesign strategies have aimed to increase ethylene production in EFE, but success has been limited, highlighting the need for alternate approaches.

Appropriate carbon source addition can save operational costs and reduce surplus sludge yield in the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). We developed a new method for stable carbon and nitrogen isotopic (δC and δN) analysis of underivatized amino acid (AA) enantiomers simultaneously, based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separation and off-line isotopic measurement. l- and d-Enantiomers of each AA were isolated using a ReproSil Chiral-AA column, purified by wet chemical procedure, and analyzed for δC and δN values with a nanomol-scale elemental analyzer/isotope-ratio mass spectrometry (nano-EA/IRMS) system. We successfully achieved the separation of l- and d-enantiomers of 15 proteinogenous AAs, with all l-enantiomers eluting before respective d-enantiomers.

The automated elucidation of the interplay between monoclonal antibody (mAb) structure and function using two-dimensional liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (2D-LC-MS) is reported. Charge variants, induced through forced degradation, are resolved by first-dimension (D) cation-exchange chromatography (CEX) and subsequently collected in loops installed on a multiple heart-cutting valve prior to transfer to second-dimension (D) neonatal crystallizable fragment receptor (FcRn) affinity chromatography coupled with MS. As such, binding affinity of the latter mAb variants can elegantly be assessed and a first glimpse of identity provided.
