Context: Rabies is a viral zoonotic infection of the central nervous system. Annually more than 59,000 people die of rabies worldwide; human rabies can be prevented by using proper postexposure prophylaxis. A major component of successful rabies surveillance is well-educated medical professional.
Aims: The aim of this study is evaluate the effect of concept mapping as an active teaching method on medical students' knowledge about rabies prophylaxis.
Subjects And Methods: It was a pre- and post interventional study carried out on 80 medical interns. Our intervention included Group 1 - trained by concept maps - and Group 2: - trained by book reading. Data gathering tool was the researcher-made questionnaire that consisted of seven open-ended questions that assessed the interns' knowledge about animal bite surveillance.
Statistical Analysis Used: Students' scores of pre- and posttests have been analyzed with paired -test and independent -test.
Results: Comparing the pre- and posttest scores of students in two groups by paired -test showed that interventions have been effective in both the groups; posttest scores of both groups had increased significantly ( < 0.001). Score mean difference in concept map group was significantly higher than book reading group based on independent -test ( = 0.001).
Conclusions: It seems that concept mapping as a visual training tool for transferring the concepts to medical students is more appropriate than the other traditional ones like book reading, but more research is needed to be sure that active methods are better than traditional ones.

Background: Males with cystic fibrosis (MwCF) face general and disease-specific sexual and reproductive health (SRH) concerns. Using concept mapping (CM), this study identified the SRH topics valued by members of the CF community.
Methods: MwCF 18 years and older, parents and partners of MwCF, and healthcare providers participated in an online CM study.

Newts have large genomes harboring many repeat elements. How these elements shape the genome and relate to newts' unique regeneration ability remains unknown. We present here the chromosome-scale assembly of the 20.

The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Utility - Core 10 Dimensions (QLU-C10D) adds a preference-based scoring algorithm to the EORTC measurement portfolio. It is built on the most widely used health-related quality of life (HRQoL) measure in oncology, the EORTC Quality of Life Questionnaire - Core 30 (QLQ-C30), allowing for the calculation of both HRQoL profiles and health utilities. This is an important advancement for integrating cancer-specific values into health economic evaluations and decision making, offering greater content validity and statistical power than some generic measures.

This scoping review explores the concepts of integrated healthcare, interprofessional collaboration, and healthcare funding within the context of primary and allied healthcare. A systematic database, internet, and manual search of included article reference lists sought published and gray literature. From an initial 8,122 papers, a total of 63 met the inclusion criteria and were assessed using a three-stage narrative synthesis that sought to meaningfully account for the complexity and heterogeneity of the included papers: (1) Preliminary analysis involved data extraction and mapping of key themes, including article, integration, collaboration, and funding characteristics; (2) Robustness evaluation involved critically appraising the methodological quality of the literature using the Crowe Critical Appraisal Tool, and the Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-based Practice Research Evidence Appraisal Tool, and Non-Research Evidence Appraisal Tool; and (3) Relationship exploration found that most primary and allied healthcare services still operate under fee-for-service funding arrangements that discourage the delivery of integrated collaborative, coordinated, and complex care, instead encouraging traditional siloed and hierarchical approaches that are linked to workload, remuneration, and job satisfaction inequalities between primary and allied healthcare professions.

Leveraging large chromatin accessibility atlases, putative enhancer sequences can be identified and deployed in adeno-associated virus (AAV) delivery platforms. However, a significant bottleneck in enhancer AAV discovery is charting their detailed expression patterns , a process that currently requires gold-standard one-by-one testing.
