Introduction: There is a paucity of information regarding providers' attitudes toward gastric-protective strategies with concurrent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). We aimed to assess gastric-protective strategies used upon prescribing NSAIDs and providers' awareness of societal guidelines for preventing NSAID-induced gastric complications.
Methods: A standardized 10-item questionnaire was sent to all orthopedic providers in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Introduction: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are commonly used for pain disorders and exert pharmacological effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX). Although previous studies have evaluated the COX inhibitory activity and selectivity of NSAIDs, none has compared COX inhibitory concentrations with the plasma concentrations of clinical doses or investigated the efficacy and adverse effects of different dosage forms. Therefore, in this study we evaluated the COX inhibitory activities and inhibition rates of clinical doses of the various NSAID formulations, especially diclofenac sodium.

This systematic review and network meta-analysis (NMA) aimed to identify the most effective glucosamine combination therapy for KOA patients. Frequentist random-effects models were employed for this NMA, with standardized mean differences (SMDs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) calculated for primary outcomes.
