Mosquitoes can transmit a wide variety of viral and parasitic pathogens. Several species have recently been reported in new locations throughout the Arabian Peninsula as a result of entomological surveillance by the US military. We report a new national record for from Kuwait based on morphologic and molecular identification of captured samples. This mosquito might pose a public health threat to local populations and to military personnel as a potential vector of both Sindbis and West Nile viruses.

The arboreal bipedal walking strategy of the gibbons has been studied in previous studies in relation to two-dimensional (2D) kinematic analysis. However, because tree branches and the ground differ greatly in width, leading to a constrained foot contact point on the tree branches, gibbons must adjust their 3D joint motions of trunk and hindlimb on the tree branches.
