The digitization of health records and cross-institutional data sharing is a necessary precondition to improve clinical research and patient care. The SMITH project unites several university hospitals and medical faculties in order to provide medical informatics solutions for health data integration and cross-institutional communication. In this paper, we focus on requirements elicitation and management for extracting clinical data from heterogeneous subsystems and data integration based on eHealth standards such as HL7 FHIR and IHE profiles.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, recommendation systems have been widely applied in various fields. However, in the art field, art similarity search and recommendation systems face unique challenges, namely data privacy and copyright protection issues. To address these problems, this article proposes a cross-institutional artwork similarity search and recommendation system (AI-based Collaborative Recommendation System (AICRS) framework) that combines multimodal data fusion and federated learning.

A systematic literature review (SLR) on ecological resettlements and conservation-led displacements (hereafter 'ER') is essential for guiding future research and conservation strategies, yet it has not been conducted. We performed a comprehensive two-stage review-a review of reviews and a review of empirical articles from Web of Science and Scopus-using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Protocols (PRISMA-P). We extracted and analyzed data from 164 research articles, revealing three key themes in ER research: publication trends and geographical distribution, methodological approaches and data types, and thematic focus with associated governance and equity indicators.

Background: Institutions interested in collaborative machine learning to enhance healthcare may be deterred by privacy concerns. Decentralized federated learning is a privacy-preserving and security-robust tool to promote cross-institutional learning, however, such frameworks require complex setups and advanced technical expertise. Here, we aim to improve their utilization by offering an intuitive, user-friendly, and secure system that integrates both front-end and back-end functionalities.

Aims: DNA methylation profiling, recently endorsed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a pivotal diagnostic tool for brain tumours, most commonly relies on bead arrays. Despite its widespread use, limited data exist on the technical reproducibility and potential cross-institutional differences. The LOGGIC Core BioClinical Data Bank registry conducted a prospective laboratory comparison trial with 12 international laboratories to enhance diagnostic accuracy for paediatric low-grade gliomas, focusing on technical aspects of DNA methylation data generation and profile interpretation under clinical real-time conditions.
