Background: Laparoscopic liver resection (LLR) is a surgical procedure with varying degrees of difficulty depending on tumor status and surgical technique. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between surgical difficulty levels and outcomes of LLR, particularly portal vein thrombosis (PVT).
Methods: We performed LLRs in 214 patients between January 2009 and December 2022.

With the emergence of numerous classifications, surgical treatment for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS) can be guided more effectively. However, surgical decision-making and optimal strategies still lack standardization and personalized customization. Our study aims to devise proper deep learning (DL) models that incorporate key factors influencing surgical outcomes on the coronal plane in AIS patients to facilitate surgical decision-making and predict surgical results for AIS patients.

Objectives: To develop a predictive tool to assist in predicting the risk of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) following robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN).
Methods: A retrospective review was performed on the prospectively maintained, IRB-approved database to identify all consecutive patients who underwent RAPN between 2008 and 2023. Patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), horseshoe kidneys, solitary kidneys, and previous renal transplant recipients were excluded.

Introduction And Objectives: This retrospective study aimed to develop a nomogram to predict the risk of postoperative acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in patients with Stanford type A acute aortic dissection.
Methods: The study included patients who underwent surgical repair for Stanford type A acute aortic dissection between January 2020 and December 2023. Demographic data, surgical details, intraoperative information, and postoperative outcomes were collected.

Categorization of alignment into phenotypes can be useful for predicting and analyzing postoperative alignment changes after opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO). The purposes of this study were (1) to develop a machine learning model for the predicting the Coronal Plane Alignment of the Knee (CPAK) phenotypes of final alignment after OWHTO, and (2) to analyze predictive factors for final alignment phenotypes. Data were retrospectively collected from 163 knees that underwent OWHTO between March 2014 and December 2019.
