Today, weed control in agricultural systems is largely based on the use of synthetic pesticides. However, the use of these compounds is increasingly controversial among farmers and consumers, who point to their harmful properties for human health and the environment. Background: The membrane transporters viz. multidrug and toxic compound extrusion (MATE) and aluminum-activated malate transporter (ALMT) are associated with aluminum (Al) tolerance by accelerating secretion of organic acids, which can influence nutrient availability and stress response. However, such transporter families have not yet been reported in lentil under Al stress condition.

Hereditary vitreoretinopathies (HVRs), also known as hereditary vitreoretinal degenerations comprise a heterogeneous group of inherited disorders of the retina and vitreous, collectively and variably characterised by vitreal abnormalities, such as fibrillary condensations, liquefaction or membranes, as well as peripheral retinal abnormalities, vascular changes in some, an increased risk of retinal detachment and early-onset cataract formation. The pathology often involves the vitreoretinal interface in some, while the major underlying abnormality is vascular in others. Recent advances in molecular diagnosis and identification of the responsible genes and have improved our understanding of the pathogenesis, risks and management of the HVRs.

Equine pastern dermatitis (EPD) is a multifactorial disease with a change in the skin microbiome. The present study monitored the influence of Biocenol™ 4/8 D37 CCM 9015 stabilized on alginite on the skin microbiota of healthy horses and model patients with EPD. Based on clinical signs, EPD lesions were identified as exudative or proliferative forms.

Aim: To quantify the effect of general practitioners' (GPs') perception of a patient request for antibiotics on antibiotic prescribing for RTI and investigate effect modification by medical determinants and country.
