MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Mounting evidence underscores the dysregulation of miRNAs to be associated with cancer development and progression by acting as tumour suppressors and oncogenes. However, their potential as biomarkers for early diagnosis of different cancers remains incompletely unraveled.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have important function in cancer development and progression. This study aims to determine the expression levels of miR-639, miR-641, miR-1915-3p, and miR-3613-3p in tissues of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients and the role of these miRNAs in the CRC pathogenesis. Tumor and non-tumor tissues were collected from a total of 59 CRC patients.

Background: Hypoxic tumor microenvironment is one of the important impediments for conventional cancer therapy. This study aimed to computationally identify hypoxia-related messenger RNA (mRNA) signatures in nine hypoxic-conditioned cancer cell lines and investigate their role during hypoxia.
Methods: Nine RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) expression data sets were retrieved from the Gene Expression Omnibus database.

Resistance of cervical cancer to radiotherapy with concurrent chemotherapy (CCRT) results in a poor prognosis. To identify new biomarkers for predicting the treatment response and prognosis, we explored exosomal microRNA (miRNA) expression signatures associated with the outcome of cervical cancer patients treated with CCRT. Exosomes were isolated from the plasma of 45 patients prior to CCRT during 2014-2020, and miRNA analysis was performed by next-generation sequencing.

Background: There is little known about the contribution of microRNAs (miRNAs) in the recovery from acute kidney injury (AKI). This study aimed to discover and validate miRNA profiles for predicting renal recovery from severe AKI.
Patients And Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted between June 2020 and January 2021.
