Residual nasal deformity in patients with cleft palate remains the main demand of these patients. Performing primary nasal surgery has significantly improved the results. However, it is still often necessary to improve the nasal morphology. Respect of tissues during primary surgery is essential and allows easier secondary corrections. Anatomical reconstruction greatly facilitates the treatment of secondary deformities. Do not hesitate in case of major labionasales sequelae, to make revision, according to the rules of primary surgery, of the entire lip and nose.

Although silicone oil is used as an intraocular buffer in vitreoretinal surgical procedures, its use can cause complications, including glaucoma. This study highlights the importance of individualized approaches for the management of silicone oil-induced glaucoma. A 62-year-old man with a past medical history of retinal detachment and multiple ocular surgical procedurespresented with uncontrolled ocular pressure peaks after retinal detachment surgery using silicone oil as a buffer, which did not resolve after removal of the buffer.

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) and acute non-allergic rhinosinusitis (ARS) often present with similar symptoms. While these are generally differentiated by history and occasionally by secretion cell counts, there are few data temporally comparing these conditions.

Methods: A prospective, observational study was conducted to assess nasal mucus properties, nasal obstruction, nasal secretion cells, and health related QOL during the acute phase (Day 5) and during a later phase of illness (Day 14/28).
