Five undescribed ursane-type triterpenes, identified as 1β,3β,15α-trihydroxy-urs-9(11)-12-diene (1), 1β,3β,15α,28-tetrahydroxy-urs-9(11),12-diene (2), 1β,3β-dihydroxy-urs-9(11),12-dien-28-al (3), 1β,3β,7β,15α,28-pentahydroxy-urs-12-ene (4), and 1β,3β,15α-trihydroxy-urs-11-en-28-al (5), together with five known compounds (6-10), were isolated from the acetone extract of the dried aerial parts of Salvia argentea L. var. aurasiaca (Pomel) Batt. et Trab. (Lamiaceae). Structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis including HR-ESI-MS, 1D- and 2D-NMR techniques and comparison with literature data. The antibacterial evaluation of compounds 1-10 of the acetone extract of the dried aerial parts, in addition to nine compounds (11-19) previously isolated from the extract of the fresh aerial parts, by bioautography on Staphylococcus aureus followed by the determination of MIC values of active compounds by serial dilution technique against five bacteria, revealed that two compounds have an antibacterial effect comparable to antibiotics. The cytotoxic activity evaluation of compounds 1-19 showed that Six compounds exhibited an antiproliferative activity against K562 and HT1080 cells with IC values ranging from 30.25 to 70.32 μM.

A novel adaptive model-based motion control method for multi-UAV communication relay is proposed, which aims at improving the networks connectivity and the communications performance among a fleet of ground unmanned vehicles. The method addresses the challenge of relay UAVs motion control through joint consideration with unknown multi-user mobility, environmental effects on channel characteristics, unavailable angle-of-arrival data of received signals, and coordination among multiple UAVs. The method consists of two parts: (1) Network connectivity is constructed and communication performance index is defined using the minimum spanning tree in graph theory, which considers both the communication link between ground node and UAV, and the communication link between ground nodes.

Five phenylpropanoid dimers chrysanthephenyls A-E, with the 1-O-1'-type (1) and 1-O-2'-type (2-5) ether bond linking modes, were isolated from the aerial parts of Chrysanthemum indicum. Among them, chrysanthephenyls D and E were two pairs of enantiomers, and chrysanthephenyl E was further resolved into its enantiomers (+)-chrysanthephenyl E and (-)-chrysanthephenyl E via chiral-phase HPLC. Their structures were characterized on the basic analysis of the spectroscopic techniques (IR, HRESIMS, 1D and 2D NMR), and their absolute configurations were determined by DP4+ NMR analysis and ECD calculation method.

Recent studies have demonstrated that the primary transcript of miRNAs (pri-miRNAs) are able to encode small peptides influencing plant growth and development, as well as responses to various environmental cues. However, their role in plant responses to salt stress is not fully comprehended. Here, we characterized a short peptide encoded by miR172b (miPEP172b) in rice (Oryza sativa L.
