Importance: Evidence is limited to support therapies to treat submacular hemorrhage (SMH) secondary to neovascular age-related macular degeneration (AMD) as an adjunct to anti-vascular endothelial growth factor therapy (anti-VEGF).
Objective: To determine if intravitreal tissue plasminogen activator (TPA) or gas improves visual acuity or promotes resolution of SMH secondary to neovascular AMD in eyes treated with ranibizumab.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This was a double-masked, sham-controlled, factorial randomized clinical trial and feasibility study that recruited participants from June 2014 to March 2019, with 12 months' follow-up.

Introduction: Early prediction of functional outcome after rtPA helps clinicians in prognostic conversations with stroke patients and their families. Three prognostic tools have been developed in this regard: DRAGON, MRI-DRAGON, and S-TPI scales. These tools, all performing with comparable accuracy, have been internally and externally validated in tertiary care centers.

Background: Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is recommended as the preferred thrombolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction (AMI). This study aimed to explore tPA-related adverse events (AEs) reported in the United States Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS), assess the potential safety of three preferred tPA therapies for treating AMI, and provide guidance for selecting tPA for prehospital thrombolysis.
Method: Four algorithms, including ROR, PRR, BCPNN, and MGPS, were used to quantify the signals of Tenecteplase, Reteplase, and Alteplase related AEs and compare the differential degrees of the three tPA-associated AEs in the actual data.

Bacteria can form aggregates in synovial fluid that are resistant to antibiotics, but the ability to form aggregates in cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) is poorly defined. Consequently, the aims of this study were to assess the propensity of four bacterial species to form aggregates in CSF under various conditions. To achieve these aims, bacteria were added to CSF in microwell plates and small flasks at static and different dynamic conditions with the aid of an incubating shaker.
