Background: Postpartum is a critical period to interrupt weight gain across the lifespan, decrease weight-related risk in future pregnancies, promote healthy behaviors that are often adopted during pregnancy, and improve long-term health. Because the postpartum period is marked by unique challenges to a person's ability to prioritize healthy behaviors, a multi-level/domain approach to intervention beyond the individual-level factors of diet and activity is needed.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to understand postpartum people's perceptions about the relationship between their social networks and support, and their health behaviors and weight.

Objective: To detail the creation and implementation of an LGBTQIA+ health elective course at a Hispanic Serving Institution and assess its preliminary impact on Doctor of Pharmacy student attitudes and perceptions of LGBTQIA+ healthcare.

Methods: An eight-week course covering various topics related to LGBTQIA+ healthcare was designed and delivered to second- and third-year Doctor of Pharmacy students who voluntarily enrolled in the course from June to July 2023. As part of an IRB approved pilot study, enrolled students completed an electronic survey before and after the elective assessing student pharmacists' perceptions of personal capabilities and attitudes as well as curriculum exposure for several LGBTQIA+ healthcare-related topics.

Background: With more women entering surgical training, barriers concerning pregnancy and breastfeeding are pertinent issues that have not been addressed adequately in a specialty with more men. An increasing body of evidence for the consequences of these challenges is emerging but has not been reviewed thoroughly. This study aims to provide a comprehensive review of the physical, emotional, and practical challenges of pregnancy and breastfeeding during surgical training and career and to elucidate the main difficulties and barriers female surgeons experience.

Background: Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, are 2 densely populated South Asian neighboring regions with many socioeconomic and cultural similarities. In dealing with breast cancer (BC)-related issues, statistics show that people from these regions are having similar problems and fates. According to the Global Cancer Statistics 2020 and 2012 reports, for BC (particularly female BC), the age-standardized incidence rate is approximately 22 to 25 per 100,000 people, and the age-standardized mortality rate is approximately 11 to 13 per 100,000 for these areas.
