Neuroimaging methods rely on models of neurovascular coupling that assume hemodynamic responses evolve seconds after changes in neural activity. However, emerging evidence reveals noncanonical BOLD (blood oxygen level dependent) responses that are delayed under stress and aberrant in neuropsychiatric conditions. To investigate BOLD coupling to resting-state fluctuations in neural activity, we simultaneously recorded EEG and fMRI in people with schizophrenia and psychiatrically unaffected participants.

Methods: This study describes the real-world baseline characteristics, treatment patterns and clinical outcomes of adult patients diagnosed with MM between 2013 and 2020 using data collated by the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) of the National Health Service in England. The study cohorts were broadly aligned to the eligibility criteria of the ongoing DREAMM-7 (D7) and DREAMM-8 (D8) clinical trials.

Tumor-induced osteomalacia is characterized by hypophosphatemia and fragility fractures caused by fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23)-producing tumors. We report a case of tumor-induced osteomalacia in which the tumor location could be determined by gallium 68 (Ga)-DOTATOC positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT). A 74-year-old woman had recurrent fractures and bone pain.

Background: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality, often requiring emergency department (ED) management. Integrated Nursing Interventions play a critical role in the care of TBI patients, but limited research has evaluated their efficacy in this setting. This study aims to assess the impact of Integrated Nursing Interventions on patient outcomes and complications in the ED.

Background: Occult papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) refers to the PTC accidentally found due to its occult lesions. Classic, as the most common subtype of PTC, is usually considered to have a low degree of malignancy and a favorable prognosis. Currently, the American Thyroid Association Management Guidelines adopted active surveillance (AS) as an alternative to immediate surgery in some low-risk PTC patients with less than 1 cm in diameter.
