Background: The incidence rate of submental liposuction has been increasing in recent years. Although this procedure is relatively simple, serious complications, including fatalities, have been reported, primarily owing to intraoperative and postoperative bleeding.
Methods: To enhance the safety of liposuction, we examined the efficacy of Beriplast® P (CSL Behring, Melbourne, Australia), a physiological tissue adhesive fibrin sealant, in reducing postoperative swelling.

Background: Botulinum toxin type A (BTA) is a protein produced by Clostridium botulinum bacteria. It is the most widely used among botulinum toxin types, and it is recommended for the treatment of many clinical conditions, including muscle hyperactivity syndromes and for esthetic indications too. BTA is generally considered safe, and the most reported adverse events (AEs) include eyelids ptosis, immunogenicity, neuromuscular disorders and hypersensitivity reactions.

Background: Adverse drug events (ADEs) are understudied in the ambulatory care setting. We aim to estimate the prevalence and characteristics of ADEs in outpatient care using electronic health records (EHRs).
Methods: This cross-sectional study included EHR data for patients who had an outpatient encounter at an academic medical center from 1 October 2018 through 31 December 2019.

Background: Pregnancy and lactation-induced osteoporosis (PLO) is a serious and rare condition, which causes substantial physical and emotional distress. The rarity of PLO highlights the importance of alternative information sources such as online patient groups. This study aims to explore the experiences of PLO among members of a WhatsApp patient group and to analyze how participation in the group impacts members' knowledge about their condition, psychological well-being, and healthcare decisions.
