: Dental pulp and its neuro-vascular bundle (NVB) are among the least studied dental tissues. This study identified the best method for evaluating ischemic risks in the dental pulp and NVB of healthy lower premolars under orthodontic forces and in intact periodontium. : Nine 3D models of the second lower premolar were reconstructed based on the CBCT scans from nine patients.

This study aims to investigate the effects of material compatibility, variable cooling rates, and crown geometry on thermal stress development in porcelain-veneered lithium disilicate (PVLD) and porcelain-veneered zirconia (PVZ) dental crown systems, and subsequently anticipate parameters for their optimum performance. An anatomically correct 3D crown model was developed from STL files generated using 3D scans of the experimental crown sample. Next, the viscoelastic finite element model (VFEM) based on the 3D crown model was developed and validated for anatomically correct bilayer PVLD and PVZ crown systems.

We present a complete framework of stochastic thermodynamics for a single-mode linear optical cavity driven on resonance. We first show that the steady-state intracavity field follows the equilibrium Boltzmann distribution. The effective temperature is given by the noise variance, and the equilibration rate is the dissipation rate.

Wearable devices enable the continuous monitoring of physical activity (PA) but generate complex functional data with poorly characterized errors. Most work on functional data views the data as smooth, latent curves obtained at discrete time intervals with some random noise with mean zero and constant variance. Viewing this noise as homoscedastic and independent ignores potential serial correlations.

In this paper, an improved version of the classical equivalent radiated power (ERP) approximation is proposed based on principled physical arguments. A geometry-, frequency-, and vibration pattern-dependent approximation of radiation efficiency is developed and used as a corrective factor for the classical ERP approximation. The proposed method called "radiation efficiency varying equivalent radiated power" (revERP), is shown to greatly improve the accuracy of classical ERP at low Helmholtz numbers, while attaining the accuracy of classical ERP at high Helmholtz numbers.
