In this study, we presented the concept and implementation of a fully functional system for the recognition of bi-heterocyclic compounds. We have conducted research into the application of machine learning methods to correctly recognize compounds based on THz spectra, and we have described the process of selecting optimal parameters for the kernel support vector machine (KSVM) with an additional `unknown' class. The chemical compounds used in the study contain a target molecule, used in pharmacy to combat inflammatory states formed in living organisms. Ready-made medical products with similar properties are commonly referred to as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) once authorised on the pharmaceutical market. It was crucial to clearly determine whether the tested sample is a chemical compound known to researchers or is a completely new structure which should be additionally tested using other spectrometric methods. Our approach allows us to achieve 100% accuracy of the classification of the tested chemical compounds in the time of several milliseconds counted for 30 samples of the test set. It fits perfectly into the concept of rapid recognition of bi-heterocyclic compounds without the need to analyse the percentage composition of compound components, assuming that the sample is classified in a known group. The method allows us to minimize testing costs and significant reduction of the time of analysis.

Biological screening combined with the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with numerous functions is the most effective approach available for pharmacological assessment of potential future medications. In the under taken research that is presented here, 4-(1H-indol-3-yl)butanoic acid was sequentially converted into 4-(1H-indol-3-yl)butanoate, 4-(1H-indol-3-yl)butanohydrazide, and 5-[3-(1H-indol-3-yl)propyl]-1,2,4-triazole-2-thiol as a nucleophile. By treating aryl amines with 3-bromopropanoyl chloride in a series of parallel reactions, different electrophiles were created, leading to the formation of N-(aryl)-3-bromopropanamides.

By using a convergent methodology, a unique series of -arylated 4-yl-benzamides containing a bi-heterocyclic thiazole-triazole core was synthesized and the structures of these hybrid molecules, 9a-k, were corroborated through spectral analyses. The studies of these multi-functional molecules demonstrated their potent mushroom tyrosinase inhibition relative to the standard used. The kinetics mechanism was exposed by lineweaver-burk plots which revealed that, 9c, inhibited mushroom tyrosinase non-competitively by forming an enzyme-inhibitor complex.

Considering the varied pharmacological prominence of thiazole and oxadiazole heterocyclic moieties, a unique series of bi-heterocyclic hybrids, 8a-h, was synthesized in a convergent manner. The structures of newly synthesized compounds were characterized by H-NMR, C-NMR, and IR spectral studies. The structure-activity relationship of these compounds was predicted by examining their inhibitory effects against alkaline phosphatase, whereby all these molecules exhibited superb inhibitory potentials relative to the standard used.

A multi-step synthesis of novel bi-heterocyclic N-arylated butanamides was consummated through a convergent strategy and the structures of these medicinal scaffolds, 7a-h, were corroborated using spectral techniques. The in vitro analysis of these hybrid molecules revealed their potent tyrosinase inhibition as compared to the standard used. The kinetics mechanism was investigated through Lineweaver-Burk plots which exposed that, 7f, inhibited tyrosinase enzyme non-competitively by forming the enzyme-inhibitor complex.

A novel photo-induced C-H arylation of (hetero)arenes has been developed. Aryl selenonium salts as an aryl source led to the arylation of aromatic (hetero)cyclic compounds C-Se bond activation under blue LED irradiation. The method simply utilizes the safe and clean energy source and yields a range of site-selective biphenyl or bi-heterocyclic products in medium to good yields.
