Tumor thrombus is a very rare complication observed in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. We report a unique case of hepatocellular carcinoma with extension of tumor along the inferior vein cava into the right atrium, in a patient with cardiac amyloidosis and without any cardio respiratory distress or typical clinical findings suggestive of cardiovascular involvement from cardiac amyloidosis. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging is a useful tool to assess intracardiac tumor extension as well as to provide myocardial tissue characterization.

Background: The coexistence of transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) and aortic stenosis (AS) is increasingly recognized, but the clinical consequences are unclear. We aimed to characterize clinical outcomes in AS plus ATTR-CA compared with only AS or ATTR-CA.
Methods And Results: In a retrospective cohort study, patients with AS only, ATTR-CA only, or AS plus ATTR-CA were identified using all-payer claims data (2015-2021).

Background: Transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis is associated with various arrhythmias, including atrioventricular block. Despite this correlation, established treatments for transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis-associated arrhythmias are lacking. Left bundle branch area pacing is a promising physiological pacing technique.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Light-chain cardiac amyloidosis (AL-CA) is associated with structural and functional changes in the left atrium and left ventricle. This study aims to assess the value of the left atrioventricular coupling index (LACI) assessed by three-dimensional echocardiography (3DE) for predicting primary outcome in AL-CA.
Methods: Participants with biopsy-confirmed AL-CA from April 2022 to February 2024 were prospectively analysed.
