C3-Cloud is a project aiming to provide an ICT infrastructure, which will allow patient centric and integrated care, based on best practice guideline, for patients with multi-morbidity. Clinical Decision Support, by checking the patient's record for known adverse interactions when the medication changes. The drug interaction advisory service provides recommendations in the three languages used in the project's pilot sites, for over 1000 substances, based on the UK's NICE BNF body of knowledge.

Background: Exosomes are extracellular vesicles released by cells that mediate intercellular communication and actively participate in cancer progression, metastasis, and regulation of immune response within the tumour microenvironment. Inhibiting exosome release from cancer cells could be employed as a therapeutic against cancer.
Methods And Results: In the present study, we have studied the effects of Acorus calamus in inhibiting exosome secretion via targetting Rab27a and neutral sphingomyelinase 2 (nSMase2) in HER2-positive (MDA-MB-453), hormone receptor-positive (MCF-7) and triple-negative breast cancer (MDA-MB-231) cells.

Alzheimer's disease is a complex neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive decline in cognitive function and behaviour. Ginger is the rhizome of the plant Zingiber officinale Roscoe, has been an important ingredient of many Ayurveda formulations to treat neurological disorders. The present study aims to estimate the variation of 6-gingerol content in nine different ginger samples collected from Manipur, India, investigate the neuroprotective potential of the most potent ginger sample against scopolamine-induced cognitively impaired mice, and validate the therapeutic claim by molecular docking analysis.

The use of antidepressant medications in the treatment of lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) also known as neurodermatitis, is not well-documented in the literature. The primary aim of our study is to evaluate the impact of duloxetine 30 mg on the quality of life in patients with LSC, focusing on both pruritus and psychopathological aspects. The secondary aim is to investigate the relationship between LSC and anxiety and depression.

Human UDP-glucuronosyltransferases (UGTs) are pivotal phase II metabolic enzymes facilitating the transfer of glucuronic acid from UDP-glucuronic acid (UDPGA) to various substrates. UGTs are classic type I transmembrane glycoproteins, mainly localized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. This review comprehensively explores UGTs, encompassing gene expression, functional characteristics, substrate specificity, and metabolic mechanisms.
