We describe an unusual case of a 58-year-old man with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) developing sepsis secondary to a prevertebral neck abscess. Following cross-sectional imaging, the patient underwent surgical drainage. was isolated from urine, blood and pus cultures. species neck infections represent a rare cause of focal salmonellosis, though have been reported in the literature.
