The guidelines on physiotherapy and exercise for osteoporosis from 2008 have recently been extensively revised on the basis of new scientific findings and possible applications. The S3 guidelines have not yet been approved by consensus and the planned completion date (Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany, AWMF online, registry number 183-002) is autumn 2024. Based on the publication in Issue 3 Osteology (August 2023), key points of the guidelines on physical training and fracture prophylaxis are summarized in abridged form.

Purpose: This study introduces a retrospective analysis of the surgical management of 213 consecutive cases of cervical spine metastases and Multiple Myeloma Cases.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data in a single surgical center of patients who underwent surgery for tumors of the cervical spine between 1994 and 2017. Exclusion criteria were intradural tumors and primary tumors.

Extracellular vesicles from Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) derived synovial fibroblasts (EVs) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of RA, acting as mediators of cell-to-cell communication. This study aimed to elucidate the role of the chemokine receptor CCR5 and EVs positive for CCR5 (EVs) in RA, focusing on their impact on cartilage destruction and bone erosion in a rat model of Adjuvant-induced arthritis (AIA). In vivo experiments were conducted using AIA rats, treated with either EVs, EVs without CCR5 (EVs), or EVs which encapsulated the CCR5 antagonist Maraviroc.

Background: Agnathia-otocephaly complex (AOC) is a rare and complex craniofacial malformation characterized by mandibular hypoplasia or agnathia, auricular fusion, microstomia with oroglossal hypoplasia or aglossia. It has a very bad prognosis and can arise alone or in conjunction with heart defects and forebrain abnormalities.
