This work presents numerical evidence that for discrete dynamical systems with one positive Lyapunov exponent the decay of the distance autocorrelation is always related to the Lyapunov exponent. Distinct decay laws for the distance autocorrelation are observed for different systems, namely, exponential decays for the quadratic map, logarithmic for the Hénon map, and power-law for the conservative standard map. In all these cases the decay exponent is close to the positive Lyapunov exponent. For hyperchaotic conservative systems the power-law decay of the distance autocorrelation is not directly related to any Lyapunov exponent.

This study aims to analyze the operation of fire emergency dispatch, understand the impact of golden time on fire emergency dispatch, and identify factors and improvement measures for effective fire emergency dispatch with in prime time. According to the results of the study, rescue dispatch activities varies depending on the nature of the incident. The summer season had a higher number of calls than other seasons, and Saturday was the day of the week with the highest number of calls (i.

This study encompasses the explication of systematic spatial distribution patterns and identification of hotspots of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) across the network of rivers, including Yarlung Tsangpo River and its tributaries in Xizang Plateau. A total of 16 CECs were detected in wide range of frequencies and concentrations ranging from below limit of detection (BLD) - 163.13 ng/L across the river network, indicating widespread spatial heterogeneity.

Intra-specific interactions among top carnivores are among the most intriguing behavioural aspects and essential components of population dynamics. Static interactions pertain to space use, while dynamic interactions involve spatio-temporal patterns influenced by social structure, distribution, mate selection, and density. Previous studies have focused on static interactions, successfully estimating spatial overlap but leading to a knowledge gap of dynamic interaction to be able to compute attraction and avoidance on similar spatio-temporal scales.

The freely jointed chain model with reversible hinges (rFJC) is the simplest theoretical model, which captures reversible transitions of the local bending stiffness along the polymer chain backbone (e.g., helix-coil-type of local conformational changes or changes due to the binding/unbinding of ligands).

Landscape genomic approaches for detecting genotype-environment associations (GEA), isolation by distance (IBD) and isolation by environment (IBE) have seen a dramatic increase in use, but there have been few thorough analyses of the influence of sampling strategy on their performance under realistic genomic and environmental conditions. We simulated 24,000 datasets across a range of scenarios with complex population dynamics and realistic landscape structure to evaluate the effects of the spatial distribution and number of samples on common landscape genomics methods. Our results show that common analyses are relatively robust to sampling scheme as long as sampling covers enough environmental and geographic space.
