Background: Viruses that infect prokaryotes (phages) constitute the most abundant group of biological agents, playing pivotal roles in microbial systems. They are known to impact microbial community dynamics, microbial ecology, and evolution. Efforts to document the diversity, host range, infection dynamics, and effects of bacteriophage infection on host cell metabolism are extremely underexplored.

Background: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are pivotal in the initiation and progression of complex human diseases and have been identified as targets for small molecule (SM) drugs. However, the expensive and time-intensive characteristics of conventional experimental techniques for identifying SM-miRNA associations highlight the necessity for efficient computational methodologies in this field.

Results: In this study, we proposed a deep learning method called Multi-source Data Fusion and Graph Neural Networks for Small Molecule-MiRNA Association (MDFGNN-SMMA) to predict potential SM-miRNA associations.

Algebraic structures play a vital role in securing important data. These structures are utilized to construct the non-linear components of block ciphers. Since constructing non-linear components through algebraic structures is crucial for the confusion aspects of encryption schemes, relying solely on these structures can result in limited key spaces.

This study describes the process of designing and developing the user interface of a digital solution aiming to promote physical and cognitive training (DanceMove) and testing for its usability by community-dwelling older adults. This study is subdivided into four phases: (i) concept and ideation, (ii) design and development of the prototype, (iii) testing of the functional mock-ups, and (iv) testing of the prototype in the laboratory and in the real context of use. Through the different phases of the study technological and healthcare professionals and users were involved.

In his teaching, Charcot often used artistic representations from previous centuries to illustrate the historical developments of various conditions, particularly hysteria, mainly with the help of his pupil Paul Richer. Charcot liked to draw portraits and sketches of colleagues during boring faculty meetings and students' examinations, including caricatures of himself and others, church sculptures, landscapes, soldiers, and so on. He also used this skill in his clinical and scientific work.
