Introduction: This article describes a technique in which measurements are obtained from radiographs of the contralateral, normal elbow to predict the magnitude of overlengthening resulting from use of a metallic radial head prosthesis.
Step 1 Obtain Bilateral Elbow Radiographs: Obtain bilateral digital anteroposterior radiographs of the elbows that are orthogonal to the forearm in 45° of flexion and neutral forearm rotation.
Step 2 Perform Radiographic Measurements Of The Contralateral Normal Elbow: Draw the angle on the radiograph of the normal elbow.
Step 3 Perform Radiographic Measurements Of The Radial Head Implant: Draw the same lines and angle and perform the same measurements on the implant radiograph.
Step 4 Calculate Radial Head Implant Length: The virtual length of the native radial head implant () is subtracted from the virtual length of the radial head implant (), which results in the magnitude of the radial head implant overlengthening in millimeters: () - () = overlengthening.
Results: The radiographic measurement technique was validated in a cadaveric study.

Background: Elbow dislocations are common injuries, classified as simple or complex based on the presence of fractures. While the stabilizing structures of the elbow have been well-studied, the influence of proximal ulna anatomical variations on the risk and severity of dislocations remains unclear. This study aimed to evaluate Proximal Ulna Dorsal Angulation (PUDA), Proximal Ulnar Varus Angle (PUVA), and Olecranodiaphyseal Angle (ODA) in healthy individuals, patients with simple elbow dislocations, and those with complex elbow dislocations.

Study Objective: Radial head subluxation (RHS) is a frequent upper extremity injury in preschool children. Although the supination-flexion method is traditionally used for reduction, the 2017 Cochrane Review systematic review has shown that the hyperpronation maneuver is more successful. Despite the Cochrane Review suggesting that hyperpronation could be the preferred first-line technique in clinical practice, the studies analyzed have been deemed to carry a high risk of bias due to various methodological issues.

Background: The traditional radial forearm free flap (TRFFF) combined with split-thickness skin grafting (STSG) for repairing oral defects presents unavoidable donor area complications, such as delayed healing and scar hyperplasia. This study introduces a modified radial forearm free flap, known as the butterfly flap, which enables primary closure of the forearm donor area.
Methods: The study included 35 patients who received the butterfly flap and 40 patients who received TRFFF combined with STSG between March 2022 and March 2024.

Malunion of the distal radius with dorsal angulation reduces stability of the distal radioulnar joint. The aim of the study was to sonographically quantify the stability of the distal radioulnar joint in 20 patients following corrective osteotomy of the distal radius and to investigate the subjective and clinical results preoperatively, three and twelve months postoperatively. Sonographically measured dorsovolar ulnar head translation relative to the distal radius was significantly higher (3.

This study measured the strain response to intraocular pressure (IOP) change in the sclera, choroid, and retina of glaucoma patients whose optic nerve head region was imaged by optical coherence tomography (OCT) prior to and after IOP-lowering by laser suturelysis following trabeculectomy surgery. The strain response was calculated from digital volume correlation of the prior and after images. The strain response of the sclera, choroid, and retina were compared to those previously published for the anterior lamina cribrosa (ALC).
