Introduction: Various cardiovascular thrombo-embolic clinical entities use combined ATS for prevention and treatment. After PCI, AF patients are typically prescribed DOAC, DAPT/SAPT, as component of ATS to minimize stroke risk and treat pulmonary embolism and venous thromboembolism. Some small observational studies have shown that a combined ATS can clear small thrombi in LV dysfunction and/or apical aneurysms.

Background: The efficacy of delayed stenting strategies in the management of high thrombus burden acute myocardial infarction remains uncertain. We aimed to compare the therapeutic effects and financial implications of immediate and delayed stenting strategies in patients with acute myocardial infarction and high thrombus burden treated at our institution.
Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of 158 patients who underwent intracoronary thrombus aspiration for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College between 2013 and 2023.

Background: The no-reflow phenomenon is a significant complication during excimer laser coronary angioplasty (ELCA) procedures, which can lead to adverse outcomes. This study explores the efficacy of intracoronary administration of a cocktail solution comprising nitroglycerin, heparin, and verapamil on preventing no-reflow during ELCA in patients with in-stent restenosis (ISR).
Methods: This study included patients undergoing ELCA with contrast infusion for ISR.

Background: The anticoagulation and risk factors in atrial fibrillation (ATRIA) score is associated with adverse cardiovascular events. However, its relationship with coronary thrombus burden is unclear. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the relationship between the ATRIA score and thrombus burden in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).

Background: Rates of major bleeding and intraprocedural thrombotic events (IPTE) in the setting of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using weight-adjusted unfractionated heparin (UFH) without activated clotting time (ACT) monitoring are not known.
Methods: We reviewed 2,748 consecutive patients who underwent coronary angiography at our tertiary care university hospital between January 2017 and December 2020. All patients who underwent PCI with weight-adjusted UFH without ACT guidance were considered for further analysis.
