Introduction: Maternal mortality refers to a mother's death owing to complications arising from childbirth or pregnancy. This issue is a forefront public health challenge around the globe which is pronounced in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in the sub-Saharan African regions where the burdens remain significantly high. Moreover, this problem is further complicated in developing countries due to limited access to antenatal care and the shortage of skilled birth attendants.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and CNKI databases. Randomized controlled trials and cohort studies comparing single-port and three-port VATS lobectomy for early-stage NSCLC were included.

Background: Emerging evidence suggests coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection may increase the risk of developing dementia, although studies have reported conflicting findings. This meta-analysis aimed to synthesise the literature on the association between COVID-19 and the risk of new-onset dementia.
Methods: PubMed, Embase and Web of Science were searched for cohort studies or case-control studies that investigated new-onset dementia development among adult COVID-19 survivors compared to individuals without COVID-19 infection from inception to 9 November 2023.

Objectives: To evaluate whether postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) can be predicted using both machine learning (ML) and traditional statistical models.
Design: Diagnostic systematic review and meta-analysis of observational and clinical studies, prospectively registered on PROSPERO, performed accordingly to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis and Prediction model risk of bias assessment tool for studies developing, validating or updating prediction models, with the use of an independent analysis by a large language model (GPT-4 Open AI).
