Research on caring in nurse-to-nurse relationships is not extensive, but studies have shown that health care workers can experience incivility in the workplace and unhealthy relationships can increase stress and influence nurse retention. The current study examined nurse perceptions of caring in the workplace and the effect of a mindfulness activity. A mixed method design was used, and data were collected on 164 nursing staff members after a 1-minute mindfulness activity. Pre- and post-survey growth in caring behavior indicated a statistically significant positive effect for the treatment group. Qualitative reports showed that after completing a mindfulness activity, staff members were more focused, and willing to set a good example, off er help to others, and encourage a positive overall work environment. Mindfulness activities can improve nurse-to-nurse caring and reduce incivility in the workplace. [Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services, 57(11), 28-36.].

Autistic adults experience greater rates of anxiety and depression compared to the general population. Compassion-focused therapy interventions, aimed at promoting self-compassion capabilities, have shown efficacy in improving mental health outcomes in autistic and non-autistic samples suffering from self-criticism that contribute to difficulties in emotion regulation. We explored the experiences of autistic adults during a brief one-week online self-compassion exercise to evaluate it's feasibility and acceptability through self-report, experience sampling, and parasympathetic activity measured via HRV.

Introduction: Medical simulation education has expanded in the remote learning sphere, providing educational opportunities to under-resourced areas and the ability to engage learners limited by time or geographic location. Pediatric resuscitation training has historically been in-person relying on Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithms, yet many pediatric providers are often faced with treating adult or adult-sized patients. Our goal was to develop a tele-simulation remote learning module highlighting possible diagnoses and scenarios that require adult treatment-minded approaches for the pediatric clinician, including the use of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) algorithms.

The multicomponent intervention FIBROWALK integrates pain science education (PSE), therapeutic exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness training for treating fibromyalgia (FM). This study investigated the effects of the FIBROWALK in online (FIBRO-On) and outdoor (FIBRO-Out) formats compared to treatment-as-usual (TAU) on core clinical variables along with serum immune-inflammatory biomarkers and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). Furthermore, the predictive value of these biomarkers on clinical response to FIBROWALK was also evaluated.

Objective: Evidence suggests that psilocybin-assisted therapy (PAT) leads to durable shifts in personality structure. However, such changes have yet to be characterized in disorders of addiction. In this secondary analysis from a randomized controlled trial, the authors examined the effect of PAT on personality dimensions in patients with alcohol use disorder (AUD), hypothesizing that PAT would attenuate personality abnormalities in AUD and that reductions in trait impulsiveness would be associated with lower drinking.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between leisure-time physical activity and academic burnout among college students, and the mediating roles of mindfulness and self-esteem in the relationship, so as to provide a reference for alleviating academic burnout among college students. The study used the Physical Activity Rating Scale, the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale, the Self-Esteem Scale, and the Academic Burnout Scale to conduct a questionnaire survey to 629 college students (M = 19.6) through a convenience sampling method.
