We report the case of an elderly patient with progressive dysphagia to solids and later to liquids, and weight loss. The patient underwent an upper endoscopy, which showed multiple stenoses and trachealization. Biopsies were taken and a diagnosis of lymphocytic esophagitis was made.

Introduction: Despite advancements in therapeutic strategies, corticosteroids continue to play a role in inducing remission in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Unfortunately, these drugs are often misused.

Infections by non-O1/non-O139 serogroups of Vibrio cholerae (NOVC) are increasing worldwide. Infected patients usually display self-limiting diarrhoea or external ear and wound infections. We present a rare case of bacteraemia secondary to NOVC infection.

Background And Objective: Leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein (LRG) is a novel biomarker for Crohn's disease (CD). The utility of combination use of LRG and C-reactive protein (CRP) has not been reported. Studies show over one-fifth of patients will seek nontraditional methods of treatment for managing their symptoms.
