We reported a case of inappropriate implantable cardioverter defibrillator shocks, due to atrial far-field on the tip-to-ring channel of the fast electrical activity during atrial fibrillation, caused by lead dislocation in the right ventricle outflow tract. During these episodes the can-to-right ventricle coil signal correctly recorded the ventricular activity. The shock storm stopped when an antitachycardia pacing restored sinus rhythm.

Background: Prescription for inappropriate drugs can be dangerous to very old people, due to the increased risk of adverse drug reactions.
Case Report: We report the consequences of inappropriate prescriptions in a 99-year-old woman. She had a clinical history of vascular dementia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, heart failure, osteoarthritis, chronic renal failure, and hypoacusia, and was admitted to our attention for asthenia and loss of appetite.

Background: An atrioventricular defibrillator system with a floating atrial dipole (VDD ICD) can provide atrial sensing by a single lead. Our aim was to compare the arrhythmia detection efficacy of VDD ICDs with conventional single- (VVI) and dual-chamber (DDD) defibrillators.
Methods: Data from consecutive patients undergoing ICD implantation were retrospectively analyzed.

Background: Brady- and tachyarrhythmias commonly complicate adult congenital heart disease (ACHD). Permanent pacemakers (PPMs) or implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) are often utilised to prevent morbidity or mortality related to arrhythmia, but can also be associated with significant morbidity themselves.
Methods: We analysed outcomes from patients in our comprehensive ACHD database who were seen at least twice since 2000 and once since 2018.

Vessel scaffolds are crucial for treating cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). It is currently feasible to fabricate vessel scaffolds from a variety of materials using traditional fabrication methods, but the risks of thrombus formation, chronic inflammation, and atherosclerosis associated with these scaffolds have led to significant limitations in the clinical usages. Bioprinting, as an emerging technology, has great potential in constructing implantable vessel scaffolds.

Penile prosthesis implantation is considered a last-resort treatment for erectile dysfunction, used when pharmacological and other conservative treatments are inadequate or at the patient's request. The well-documented complications of penile prostheses include pain, infection, mechanical failure, improper positioning, and erosion. In this case, we report a patient presenting with penile skin necrosis, despite the absence of typical risk factors such as diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, or chronic renal failure, attributed to pressure from a condom catheter that was used 15 years after the inflatable penile prosthesis implantation.
